I have been coming to Nayaug Family Dental for over 20 years. I’m very grateful to have found a caring, professional dental office… from the front desk, to the hygienists, and to Dr. Yaseen. Dr. Yaseen has such a calm disposition (for anyone who is hesitant about visiting the dentist). She clearly explains her approach before performing anything, and ensures you are comfortable. I recently went into the office in the early evening knowing something was wrong with my tooth, and she was able to quickly identify the issue, and offered to stay later to fix my tooth (which was such a relief because I was uncomfortable).I also go to Nayaug Family Dental for my cleanings. I have sensitivity to hot/cold temperatures and my mind is at ease… knowing the hygienists make my visits very comfortable (as they’ve clearly documented protocols for me). Thank you Judy! I did not have the best experience prior to seeing Dr. Chiffer and I can honestly say he restored my faith from day one. Finding medical professionals with the bed side manner, displine, and comfort are often hard to find. I was recommended by a friend to Dr. Chiffer and this practice a few years ago. For someone who struggled with dentists in past, I have never been so happy with a practice and their professionalism. To the friendly reminder, warm greets, secretary, hygienist, to the doctor their system is second to none. Imagine that, I look forward to going to the dentist. I have been going to Nayaug Family Dental for over 20 years, first with Dr. Brian Chiffer and when he retired, I continued my allegiance to this practice and Dr. Yaseen. Just to show you how accommodating they are: I cracked a tooth on Saturday and since it wasn’t painful I didn’t make an emergency call and waited until Monday. I had an appointment today at 9:30 and I left there about 11:30 with a temporary crown and my permanent one should be here in two weeks or so, very satisfied!

Amazing dentist and staff!! Have known Dr. Chiffer since dental school and throughout our careers as dentists. Have gone to him since we graduated. His chairside manner is wonderful, experience painless, and work excellent! Marylou and his wife Dale who manage the office, are also very professional and wonderful to work with. ‘Never thought I’d look forward to going to the dentist. But now my wife and I (almost) do! The care at Nayaug Family Dental is so personal and humane, but they don’t sacrifice competence to keep it there. We don’t have dental insurance, so we love the cash plan (with appropriate discounts) that NFD offers. We’re happy campers.

Outstanding dental practice!I hardly write online reviews, however I felt compelled in this situation. Nayaug Family Dental is hands-down the best practice I have ever observed as a patient.The front desk staff are courteous and prompt, and after spending almost no time in the waiting room, I was brought back to one of the examination rooms. Dr. Chiffer began by performing in in-depth examination (more in that later).After the dental x-rays, I moved into another room for the cleaning. The hygienist was most accommodating, offering me a mouthwash that would aid in numbing my sensitive teeth. She was thorough, gentle and explained what she was going to do next and the reason for that.Regarding the examination; he stated that my pulse was around 90, which was relatively high for me. I decided to take my blood pressure later that day and found that it was incredibly elevated, which led me to seek medical care.Had Dr. Chiffer not taken the time to check my pulse the during his exam, this issue would have probably gone unchecked for quite some time and I think him for that.I cannot recall the last time I was a patient of a dental practice of such high caliber, quality and care. In conclusion, I received a handwritten thank you note a few days later, which only shows their dedication to their patients.

We were recommended to Nayaug Family Dental by our neighbor – a retired dental surgeon – when we moved to Glastonbury. The exam (routine checkup) I had with Dr. Chiffer was the most thorough I’ve ever had. In addition to his short and long-term recommendations (hygiene, wisdom extraction, etc.), he also explained his process throughout the experience. His ability to communicate and explain made me feel more involved in the visit. Very approachable, knowledgeable, and timely doctor.As a follow-up I brought my small kids (2 & 4) for their exams as well. While we waited, Dale Chiffer came out to help watch one of my kids in the waiting room while I took one to the restroom. This is an example of the team’s overall focus on patients and exemplary customer service.The entire staff is just as friendly, knowledgeable and engaged. Eralda and the rest of the staff helped my small kids feel comfortable and relaxed enough to get a full cleaning.I know some practices have televisions for kids and allow for online paperwork. A nice-to-have, but less important to me than a caring and knowledgeable staff.Highly recommend and happy to have found a place for the entire family!

I came here for a consultation/second opinion for a major dental treatment from another Dentist’s recommendation and I stayed because I felt like they actually valued lower risk treatments before doing anything extreme. I liked that they were informative and explained different treatments. They recommended to keep an eye on it and to use a night guard to prevent it was getting worse.

It’s been a couple months since then. Now I return for cleanings. It hasn’t changed or become worse since then, so I’m really glad I decided to come here for a second opinion. The other place still calls me periodically to scare me into getting that major dental treatment.

Other than that, I’m very happy with my hygienist. She’s very thorough, comfortable to talk to, and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to all my family and friends.

I found Nayaug Family Dental while searching for a provider for a dental emergency for my child on a Saturday, five hours from our home. To say I was stressed out was an understatement. Mary Lou answered the phone and was so kind and helpful. The process of completing all the new patient paperwork was online and simple. Dr. Yaseen examined my child, explained the options and completed her dental work very professionally. An hour later our family was enjoying our vacation and visiting the Mystic Aquarium instead of dealing with a child in pain. She saved the day!

When my dentist retired last year, I was tired of the “big group” dental offices and wanted to find someone great. I searched around and found Dr. Chiffer and Nayaug Family Dental. They are awesome!
